Release tags now run one pipeline for alpha, beta, rc, and stable versions. Each tag builds and tests Linux and illumos binaries; the illumos job builds an IPS package and installs, upgrades, and uninstalls it on its disposable VM before any assets upload. Assets carry checksums and source provenance, and reruns reject differing bytes. The depot also rejects invalid configuration instead of starting with a public default listener.

The old e2e tests are updated to use the current pkg6repo binary and run in isolated directories. Local validation: 140 workspace tests passed (one opt-in live network test skipped), 197 release-script checks passed, and a native OpenIndiana manifest-to-p5p dry run passed with placeholder binaries. The live IPS/SMF test and release-profile build still need Solstice CI proof. This draft covers the release/package slice; atomic import, retirement, TLS/ACME and telemetry remain separate work.

Superseded by #54, which brings the whole RC13 line (feat/historical-import, a strict superset of v1-integration-20260923) to main in one pull request, as decided in ADR-015 item 6. Nothing from this branch is lost; closing to keep one integration path.
